Heritage Births

We believe that birth is one of the most uniquely miraculous and sacred moments in a new family’s life and it is our desire to help each family achieve their ideal pregnancy and birthing experience.  We are passionate about a mother's right to be an active participant in her care, and for her to be empowered to make decisions that are right for her and her baby, throughout this transition into motherhood.  This is why we not only strive for a physically healthy mom and baby, but an emotionally nurtured pair as well, and we feel deeply honored each time we are chosen to share in this wonderful adventure with our clients and their families.  For these reasons and many more, we are blessed to be able to offer out-of-hospital birth to the natural birthing families of Abilene, Sweetwater, San Angelo, Cisco, Clyde and surrounding areas.

Heritage Birth Center

Since 2018, The Heritage Birth Center has been dedicated to serving families who desire a natural birthing experience. Originally founded in Lubbock, TX, we relocated to Abilene in 2021 to create a truly special space for mothers and babies—a luxurious yet comfortable setting that feels just like home.

Our custom-built, 2,600 sq. ft. birth center is nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood near Abilene Christian University—just two minutes from Hendrick Medical Center Hospital-North.

Inside, you’ll find three beautifully designed birth suites, each with a private ensuite bathroom, fenced-in patio, and unique theme. The center also features a cozy prenatal room, a spacious reception and childbirth education area with an adjoining office, a fully equipped kitchen with seating, and a large utility and storage room.

As the only free-standing birth center within a two-hour radius, we’re honored to serve families from across the region—including Sweetwater, San Angelo, Cisco, Clyde, Eastland, Post, Big Spring, and Lubbock—who trust us to support them through their natural birthing journeys.
