When it comes to being able to afford your prenatal, birth, and postpartum care, a Licensed Midwife at a birthing center is a great option! Costing approximately 50% less than what physician care and delivery in a hospital setting would cost you, and priced similarly to local home birth options, you can afford to receive quality care that is personalized to you, in the comfort of our birthing center!
Birth Package
We are not accepting traditional insurance at this time, since our self-pay discounted pricing is typically less expensive than it costs you to use your insurance. However we do accept most of the Christian health share programs, and we are “preferred providers” with Christian Healthcare Ministries (CHM). Please feel free to contact us for specifics regarding package pricing, discounts, monthly payment plans or for any other questions you have.
Your “Birth Package” includes the following:
Pregnancy
24-hour Midwife availability for any urgent questions/concerns you might have, from the moment of hire until your final postpartum visit
All of your prenatal visits with a Midwife, which will be monthly starting at 8-12 weeks to 28 weeks, every other week from 28 weeks to 36 weeks, and then weekly until delivery (unless needed more frequently)
Routine laboratory tests (these are typically collected during your visit, so there is no need to go to a separate facility)
Ultrasound referrals to a local facility, as needed or at your request
Access to our extensive collection of books in our Lending Library
Discounts on a variety of recommended supplements that we carry in house
Labor & Birth
All medical and non-medical equipment and supplies (there are no kits to purchase or anything you have to bring with you!)
Continuous care, support and monitoring by a Midwife, during active labor, birth and immediately postpartum
An additional Midwife, Student Midwife or a Nurse to assist the Midwife at your birth
Use of the birth center facility while you are in active labor through the immediate postpartum. You are welcome to bring any family members and friends that you would like to attend your birth, and they can either be in your room with you, or relax in our comfortable reception area close by.
Use of our birthing stools and balls during your labor
Your choice of one of our private birth rooms, each with a large birthing tub and full ensuite bathroom. These rooms also come with comfortable beds with soft sheets, warm fluffy towels, flameless candles, diffusers with essential oils, a Bluetooth speaker for your labor music playlist, ceiling and handheld fans, and dimmable lights.
For the safety of all our moms and babies, our water goes through a whole home filter, water softener, and UV light filter to kill any bacteria, before entering the tankless water heater, so you will never run out of silky soft and clean hot water for your tub or shower. Our drinking water on-site comes from our Reverse Osmosis system as well, so feel free to refill your water throughout labor with our great tasting water and chewable nugget ice!
Snacks and drinks provided while you are in labor, with an on-site kitchen to store any other food or drinks you would like to bring with you
For moms who need a little extra help relaxing during their labor, we offer Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) for an additional fee.
Postpartum
Herbal bath postpartum for you and your baby
Immediate newborn exam and general care for you and baby for the first 6 weeks after birth. This includes newborn weight checks and unlimited breastfeeding and lactation support with a Midwife (so there is no need to see your pediatrician until baby is two months old!).
