I have been attending births since 2000. I knew birth work was heavy on my heart since delivering my first child. What could have been a traumatic story for me, I used for the good to “be” the change through educating and supporting other women in childbirth.
I began my career in birth work as a certified doula with DONA which later evolved into administration and birth assisting at two busy birth centers here in DFW. Through the early years I served in many avenues of birth work trying to fulfill the desire in my heart. Midwifery found me when I was in nursing school uncertain if I would be a L&D nurse or CNM. I realized working in a hospital environment was not my heart’s calling and women needed more evidence based, individualized supportive care in pregnancy and birth. In 2012, I enrolled in Association of Texas Midwives to become a Licensed Midwife receiving the national Certified Professional Midwife Certificate from NARM when my studies and clinical training were complete in 2016.
As a Licensed Midwife I worked independently as a home birth midwife serving many families in DFW. In 2018, I opened the first birth center in Decatur, TX (Kueo Birth Center, PLLC). I loved and lived every moment that came with the responsibilities of being a midwife and birth center owner. In March 2025 the Lord placed it on my heart to slow down and surrender everything. Even though I had no idea what the future would look like, I knew deep in my spirit this was what I needed to do. In obedience, I served my remaining clients and officially closed my birth center December 2025.
I met Alex in August 2025 when I did not expect it, our connection was instant and refreshing. Her morals, values and goals aligned with mine and our life stories brought us together in spirit. I knew immediately without doubt she was an answered prayer. I am excited to continue serving families in Wise County with her as my midwife partner and am honored to be a part of the Heritage Birth Center team.
I have been married to my husband Scott for 28 years, and am the mother to 4 children (Samuel 27 /daughter-in-love Gisel), Timothy 25, Kaylee 23 and Elora 17. I am an active member in my church serving in the church nursery. In my spare time, I love simplicity with my family and living moments with them, country drives, listening to worship music, eating out, gardening and loving on all my fur babies.
